Enjoy a 'free slice' of bread while strolling the streets of Des Moines in search of perfect, locally grown, produce. We feature 5 - 8 different whole grain breads and scrumptious cinnamon twists topped with icing. August 29 * September 5 * September 12 * September 26 * October 3 * October 10 * October 17 * October 24 * October 31 Leukemia / Lymphoma Society and John Stoddard Cancer Center On September 23rd all sales from bakery products made at the bakery will be donated to the John Stoddard Cancer Center 's Blood Cancer Survivors Group. Funds raised will support their fundraising efforts in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society "Light the Night Walk". This fundraising provides money for cancer research and to support cancer patients, their caregivers and cancer survivors. Visit the bakery on Wednesday September 23 to see the volunteers from John Stoddard Cancer Center Blood Cancer Survivors group and Great Harvest Bread in combined efforts to "Raise Dough$$$" for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society 'Light the Night Walk'.
